The workshops with the topic “Development of the National Action Plan on climate change: selecting the measures which are climate relevant at sectoral level”, were organized on Tuesday July 15, 2015 and on Wednesday July 16, 2014, as a component within the project “Operationalization of the National Strategy on Climate Changes and development of the climate component within the 2014 – 2020 Operational Programs (OPERA-CLIMA)”.

A specific component of the OPERA-CLIMA project, implemented in collaboration with the World Bank, focuses on the development and operationalization of the national strategy and action plan on climate change and low-carbon growth. To this regard, MEWF organized two workshops dedicated to the development of the national action plan on climate change.

During the two workshops the aspects which were presented and debated refer to:

  • integrating the measures on climate changes in the Partnership Agreement and in the 2014-2020 Operational Programs for the following programming period, 2014 – 2020;
  • national strategy and national action plan on climate change;
  • other types of actions proposed by the line ministries, in the sectors which are relevant in the field of climate changes;
  • recommendations of the World Bank experts for the six sectors which have an impact in the field of climate changes.
