Macroeconomic modeling sessions

Events

Macroeconomic modeling sessions were held during April 22-24, 2015.

The macroeconomic model developed by the World Bank team performs impact simulations related to the economic activities and climate policies in Romania, estimating the effect of these policies in terms of costs and benefits on the production of goods, employment, trade, capital flows, urban development. The macroeconomic modeling is supplemented by the impact modeling of six sectors (energy, urban, transportation, forestry, agriculture, waters).

This model shall substantiate the alternatives which shall represent the basis of the strategies and policies forecasted in several sectors, taking into account the obligations of Romania resulting from the commitments at EU and international level, for the abatement of the GHG emissions and in order to adapt to climate change.
